The meeting point is on the 1st floor of Kurochiku Tenshokan. There will be a sign near the entrance.

Please arrive by 14:50 for the small group plan, or by 14:30 if you requested the kimono option. At the designated time, our staff will guide you to the main venue. Please wait on the 1st floor until then.

Exclusive Experience Location

The Maiko experience program takes place on an authentic Noh stage (inside Kurochiku Momochitaru-kan), a rare venue in Kyoto city.

Although this is a different location from the meeting point, our staff will guide you there, so please don't worry. Enjoy an elegant moment in the solemn atmosphere of the Noh stage.

Watch the Maiko's graceful dance against the solemn backdrop of the Noh stage. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience in a truly special setting that you won't find anywhere else.

Ozashiki games

③ Q&A Session and Ozashiki Games

Participate in a Q&A session where you can ask the Maiko questions directly, and experience Ozashiki Asobi (traditional parlor games) from Kyoto.

You will have time to interact closely with the Maiko and take a commemorative photo with her.

Souvenirs with Senjafuda

With a background as a former Maiko and Geiko, she married into the Kurochiku family, which owns cultural buildings including the Noh stage. She is now dedicated to preserving and promoting the historical value of traditional Kyoto culture, such as the tea ceremony, both within Japan and internationally. In these plans, she provides careful explanations of the tea ceremony gestures and the background of Maiko culture, making it easy for first-time participants to understand.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is foreign language support available?

Yes, the entire program is guided in English. A specialized English guide accompanies the session and provides detailed explanations of the cultural background.

Can I take photos and videos?

Yes, you may. However, please be considerate of other guests. Dedicated time for commemorative photos is also provided.

What should I wear?

We recommend smart casual attire. Using the optional kimono dressing service allows for a more elegant experience.

How long is the program?

The small group plan takes approximately 90 minutes. If you add the kimono option, the total time, including dressing, is about 120 minutes.

What are the participant limits for each plan?

The Group Plan is for 6 to 20 guests, and the Private Charter Plan is for 1 to 5 guests. Please consult us if you wish to add more people to the private plan.

Can I choose the start time for the Private Plan?

Yes, you can. We are flexible and will accommodate your desired time. Please let us know when making your reservation or inquiry.

Can children participate?

Children aged 12 and older are welcome to participate. The condition is that they can watch the performance quietly.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 5 days prior to the reservation date. For same-day cancellations, 100% of the experience fee will be charged as a cancellation fee. If you wish to change the date, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will be as flexible as possible.
